Australian jobs dataThe Australian jobs data is out for July, adding 26,200 jobs for the month. The increase was largely due to part time employment, which increased 71,600 to 3,814,700. Full time employment fell from 45,400 to 8,153,900. The jobs data numbers are from surveys and for one month. Thus, it’s unlikely that the economy created 71,000 part time jobs.

Across the nation, all states had employment increases, save for Tasmania which saw a fall of 700 jobs in July.

Paul Colgan of the Business Insider reports that on unemployment NSW continues to lead the pack, dipping 0.1% to 5.2%.
